Expanding Horizons

After 2 weeks and multiple mornings waking up in the nest box/coop portion of the Quarantine Hut. Someone finally figured out that it was a good place to hide when I changed their water.

That led to today's scratch fest. I have been putting snacks and food up there for a long time.

I'm thinking that Gucci's leg is making the ramp uncomfortable and they were staying downstairs with her. It seems that may no longer be true.

Adorable! Is Gucci able to scratch? I would think probably yes.

Saturday Surprise

Watch for a special treat in the this video of the Rascals.

Those 3 look like they are such sweet chicks. I'm really drawn to Lady Featherington though. You can already tell she is going to a big girl and when she gets her coloring in she will be stunning. I am going through a bit of Orpington love at the moment though. My Hooligans are still going through our nightly bedtime routine now joined by Cricket, Lilly and Karen. Everyone enjoys their nightly cuddles but the orp ladies are taking it to a whole different level. When I focus on any of the other birds they cannot handle and and climb off the roost onto my shoulders so I have to pay attention to them. For the most part everyone has lost their baby cheeps and now I have honking geese noises in my hear but I love it just the same. During the day they surround me, but prefer not to be picked up. They can jump up on me, but, no picking them up. At night they want their loving spoiled brats. 2 out of the 3 orps are going to be huge curvy girls while Sabi is sleeker then her sisters. They have proved that orps are sweet loving girls and Butter was no fluke.

Awwwww that's so cute 🤗

I love when they start to honk also hahaha and start learning to cackle and chuckle like hens do. 👍
