Same here, normal summer stuff. I looove how it cools down overnight. But you and I live in the same neck of the woods. We pay for it in the long winter, though.Actually, no. That's normal night vs daytime temps. It's already up to 85 today
Yeah, we swing about 40 degrees from night to day in the summer. That's huge temp changes!!!
Yes, yes.Having it cool off at night is something I delight in. I'm just glad those temp swings aren't the winter daily too.
First time Storm tried it Ash put up a stink. She gave in pretty easily this time, though. Storm has definitely emerged as the alpha so I guess she gets what she wants.I had 2 buff orpingtons (actually 3, the 'golden girls', but 2 were besties). One would roost on the roost at night, and margaret - one of the others, would put her head between golden girl#1's feet. They would sleep like that every night! When they dust bathed, Margaret would always be crowding Goldie #1, almost snuggling, and she would practically (but not quite) lay on top of her when they were sunbathing! The two were inseparable, and Margaret was the more needy/dependent one - almost like the Bobsie twins...where one was, the other was sure to be. I wouldn't say it is 'usual' for them to be so 'tight'/bonded, but it isn't completely 'unusual' either! (Remember, I'm a mathematician, so I am using statistical definitions of 'usual/unusual')
Personally, I think it is sweet that they are so close![]()

Don't know what has happened, I'm just catching up, but when we had tails pumping like that, it was stuck eggs.Thank you. She suddenly recovered and went back to her happy ways. The comb kept its blue tinge. She’s been squatting for me, but not laying, which is always a concern. I suspect there is a larger, hidden issue, but grateful she seems well most of the time.
Edited to add: I forgot to answer your question about the heat. It was in the mid 80’s today, I think. Nobody seemed to be in heat stress.
I'm very sorry for your news. Please know that no one has any maximum baggage allowance here. You are always free to share here whatever the news.Back from the vet with no good news. I posted the update on the dedicated thread, I believe I've exceeded my allowed luggage of drama on this flight.
Your pictures are gorgeous.
I mean, everyone's pictures are, but yours and royalchick's just leave me in awe!
