Okay here’s what I know from the veterinarian. Said that Dakota has a broken wing, near the shoulder joint. Vet asked me if I would accept euthanasia. I took my bird, paid my bill, and disgusted I stormed out of the building, with Dakota! I’m furious now! I’ll cool off a bit before driving back home.

Joke coming: 🎼let’s twist again, like we did last summer. Twist again… la la la lala
Oh earlier at work all the guys were looking out the window too see if there was a tornado coming, we were all watching this young lady walking down the road wearing these snazzy red shoes, she had a little dog following her….

Keep the wing wrapped close to her body so she keeps it stablized. In aboit three weeks she should be ok. Actually should have had the vet do that but bit late ❤️

Guess you have a house chicken for then next month!

I have healed wild birds this way, had a crow here once, we called it Sir Edgar Allen Crow

Hahahaha!

Oh no! Poor Dakota. How did that happen? Are you able to set it? Don't forget to give her some pain medication. Aspirin or Advil. The dose for aspirin is 5mg/kg and for ibuprofen it is 5-10mg/kg and you can give it 2-3 times a day.
This is the source - and no, don't give fentanyl, it is dangerous!

I didn't know that was how to set a bird's wing. Very good to know.
I hope Alex can do that for poor Dakota. :fl

The wing needs to be in its normal position at rest then bound to the body, wrap around the wing and the body so that the wing can’t open/move. Of course no high perches but she can roost in a nest box.
