Ahhhh! I bet Air Liquide will have it - I will see what’s up in the morning 😁 if not then some propain gas would also work. Though rather explosive 😳😳

Ok maybe not that… a neighbours dairy barn exploded Sunday night took 4 fire department to contain it. They lost 52 head, saved 140 odd head of cattle, lost the whole barn over 6million in damages . The farms around here are helping with the cattle, they need milking etc so every is pitching in to help. So I certainly don’t want do tempt fate here😥😥

I don’t worry about the larger hens but Marty is very wee… oh now I am freaking out worried. Maybe I should have left her up on the top - what’s a little poop? Think I will go out and put her up high…. Ok got to go move her :fl
That was truly tragic. What caused the fire?

Good idea! Now we’re would I find dry ice?

This sound like a science experiment I can get into! I see a ‘sick day’ coming on for tomorrow (esp seeing as how my request for a weeks vacation is not being answered ha! Sorry need to pay taxes for vendictiveneas!)

I sure wish Dorothy would stop being broody

They don’t know, and Ontario fire marshal has decided not to investigate as the destruction was massive and figure they won’t find the cause.

I am lean towards milk cooler problem , refrigerator using propane or maybe build up of methane gas …..

Truly tragic for the family, but this is a very tight farming community so everyone is helping out.

Sorry off topic

I'm worried she hasn't figured it out yet. Maybe she can learn from the others
Yes, my silkies were dumb as stumps couldn’t figure out hopping up on things, roosting…

Then my cousins hens showed up and all of a sudden they are hopping up on things, pooping on my hay, roost 4’ off the ground 😳

Escaping out the back of the barn…. They were such good girls till the three big girls arrived hahaha

They learnt from to others and followed their lead. Just like Marty has been doing! She has decided that she can also roost with them, and I guess I will let her, I will make her some steps to get down tomorrow after I deal with the critter digging up the floor.

Ok I am off to slumber land have a lovely night!

I am very late to the party... let's just call it "Hawaiian time" 😅 I wanted to congratulate @BY Bob on this thread reaching 10,000 pages & 100,000 posts! What a wonderful feat! In celebration of this milestone, here are some of my favorite photos that I've shared in this thread:

It's been a while since I've last been on here. It was hard coming back after Chickadee disappeared at the end of February. For those that don't know, she was a wild hen that "adopted" me during the pandemic and moved into my backyard for nearly two years. It was really hard on me when she left and I think I'm (sort of, okay not really) coming to terms with it.

I don't even know how many pages & posts I'm behind on 😅 I feel like I have lots of catching up to do! Hope you are all well and I look forward to reading up on everyone's flocks!
Welcome back :hugs
