Fluffy Butt Friday

We had a regal visitor here at work, I noticed this lovely fella strolling along picking up bugs and what-not. Tried hard to get him to display his lovely derrière but he wasn’t having any of that haha!

Won’t show that fluff butt? What a Turkey! :D

This way. Éowyn .

Such lovely hens! 😍

I wonder what the kerfuffle was about. 🤔
They have a sense of injustice, or something, because I’ve seen Peanut, when her place or pecking order was challenged after a reminder peck, come back fiercely on that hen. I don’t remember who it was though. But here, no comeback, which was strange for Peanut. Maybe Popcorn had a point?

I am keeping a real close eye on her, this time I will start her on TLC immediately and hopefully she will not be as stressed.

Blanche is miserable but she is eating so I am not as worried about her. The two grey ladies are molting heavily but seem to be handling it ok, I was esp worried as they just stopped being broody! Crazy birds!
You could make sure she has a little higher protein available, will help because she is growing new feathers.

Happy Friday!

Inky was broody for 30 days, and started molting right after that. She also started laying again today after being broody. (It was a lovely egg. I already ate it for lunch just to test egg shell thickness. ALL GOOD!)

This is her on Monday:

This is her yesterday: notice the loss of tail feather in 4 days.

I’m here checking on updates from all your (not so well) feathered friends. I have a possible passenger today, and waiting on the call, to fly him to San Francisco. My chooks are also waiting on that call, (to see if they get the yard this morning or not) all my kids seem okay today though. Yay! :ya
Hey that excellent on both counts 😊
