I told them this morning no horsey kisses ( mostly because of their goobery lips after eating haha!).

But I did have a rough night with fever, extremely achy joints, and a crushing headache…. Not sure if that is Influenza or Covid…. Both are going around here. At any rate not overly worried - got work to do and chickies to play with

You know, I think she is already named and you have yet to realize it. Piou-piou is a cute name, and a endearing one for a tiny bird.

One of my favorite hens is Itty Bitty. She knows her name and comes running when I call her. I had a hard time naming my daughters and re-use dog names, Handsome Jack is my third dog named Jack.

Either we have a new layer, or someone taking a break has started in again. If it's new, then it has to be either Lark or Indigo, but I don't think either is ready yet. Nox and Mera are ready, but supposed to lay brown eggs.

Middle egg is the new one. Side eggs are Nellie and Thing (I think). Milk lid for extra size reference. (Or Nox and Mera were mislabeled and actually lay white eggs, unlikely)

My cousin's wife wasn't keen about it, but it turns out my partner is also reluctant to give her a definite name. When we call her Piou-piou it's like calling her "chick" and she's so small that he still feels she may not make it . She's 11 weeks and she still hasn't grown a tail. Her behaviour continues to be totally normal though and she is not bullied by the other chickens, in fact she is much braver than Gaston the coward .

As a non-French speaker I actually think Piou-Piou is an adorable name.
