What am I gonna do with this Dakota? She’s decided that it would be best if she spent the night inside the house. (Yes, she decided) now she’s happily perched in the chickens room. And yes she’s wearing her “ food boob “ again tonight.

Sorry, any that I have treated I have been able to get all or most of the infection out. Hope someone else has a good idea about what to do.

Little sweeties! So does this mean you went and purchased some chickies alongside the sneakily hatched ones?

They are about a week and a half old. I had ordered them before I knew I had a sneaky girl! But, the short answer is 'yes'.

btw: all 4 of the broody hatched babies are doing well. I suspect the one with the 'weak seeming' leg had gotten stepped on and it was tender as opposed to 'weak'. All 4 were bopping around today. (no pics, though...momma would call them all under her when I approached, so by the time I was close enough for a picture, they were mostly hidden )

Found 2 pullet eggs in the coop tonight, 2 different spots. Both brown. Likely both Nox and Mera have joined the ranks of adulthood.

Yes, lets hope I don't have @RebeccaBoyd 's luck with boys! It is one thing when I order straight run (keeping a few boys, rest get processed) It is harder when they are from my own 'kids'.

Mostly internet issues… and lots of “doings”, soon to start on the final bit of the trusses on the house… there is a possibility of ducks as well, I should know more tomorrow…
