That seems right, let's count them.

That's 7 with Phyllis on the nest makes 8. That's correct! This is exciting, more pictures.

I just had this same conversation with a vegetarian over dinner. We were eating sushi, and she was talking about her friend chicken farming over on Saltspring, and those poor meat birds destined for tables… so of course I asked “who?”. Oh yeah, I know him, I processed his birds at the abattoir there last year, he worked that day as well. Good birds in really nice condition for CX, looked like they had a really good life. It’s hard to explain the balance between eating meat as responsibly and ethically as you can, and the what does processing look like? “Well…” and I went through the step by step. Then we started discussing red meats. She was traumatized by a “rustic” goat processing as a child. Well, here it’s not done like that… and a less detailed discussion of that ensued. The issue is getting people to accept less “normal” meat birds and also not selectively breeding to the point of the chickens beings such “disposable” commodities. Shoving soapbox back into the closet. Oops View attachment 3239716
She is beautiful! I love all the colors, and I just might also be a bit partial to the barring..... :love :love

I agree 100% on the soap box.;)

I'm glad it all came out. Hopefully it is a one time deal and she feels better now.
Fingers crossed 🤞. I was surprised too see any sort of egg today.
I have five more days of this cream but I've ordered more just to be safe because it worked incredibly well

Any tips on stopping her snatching food off me and poor old princess. We are both too slow to deal with Tina's hunger attacks :drool

Give me more right now

Finally caught up. I should have known better than to post mid read 🙂
Mostly this is our only news of sorts, this poor thing started showing up a few nights ago. She has a collar stuck around her middle and one arm. We are trying to gain her trust enough to remove it.

She is so adorable! She looks like an older kitten - somewhere under 6 mos.? i could well be wrong, she just has that kitten air about her (him?), but too big to not be at least 3 -4 mos old ime. I do hope you are able to help her/him. Again, absolutely adorable. Very kind of you to take her/him in to help. That's one of the things I love about this thread, such caring, compassionate people that actively reach out to help 'others' (people & animals)!🥰

P.S. Sunbathing beetle green irridescent lady is lovely, too!

I think it has a different Name in the US and could only find 1% but you would need to double the dose to 2ml for an adult chicken
Called clotrimazole in US I just ordered some for my first aid kit
