Momma Hen update. She is talking to those eggs. Seeing as how she has started talking to them I had to take my bites and check under her for pips, nothing yet. I did threaten her that if I would not get sued for selling or giving away a known dangerous animal I'd rehome her if she did not straighten up. She shrieked in response. She knows she has a home for the rest of her life, and that bat will live 20 years to spite me.

A BOUNCY egg?
Isbe laid a shell-less egg, the chickens eggs are so sturdy, i could only break them open by using a knife, because the edge of a pan wouldn’t cut it. (Literally.)

Anyway, i accidentally dropped the egg onto the floor (about a 4 feet drop) It bounced like a bouncy ball 3 feet or so in the air, dribbled for a minute on the floor, then rolled away.

In amazing condition! Didn’t pop!

I thought that was hilarious. Im boiling the egg now and its been about 5 minutes now, didn’t burst.

I have hopefully 14 by September 19th and 1 speckled Sussex hen 3 barred rocks 2 hens and 1 rooster 2 buff orb hens 2 Easter Eggers 1 chick 1 hen 1 slw hen 1 black austrolaurp hen 1 blue copper Marans chick and 1buff laced polish chick and 1 white leghorn chick
the and 1 buff orb barred rock mix chick in incubator to hatch on Thursday other chicks hatchery chicks

Scrambled eggs are worth a try.

Or even a raw egg, even my Sophia who was poorly last year ate scrambled egg and raw egg.

I used to give raw eggs, i don’t anymore though. They started busting open eggs to get the insides, and it can carry some bacteria i believe.

To those in the US. My husband is locomotive engineer. There is a very good chance that all major railroad unions across the US will strike in about two weeks time. Trains move ALOT of grain including chicken feed. I just want everyone here to be aware if they aren’t already. Buy a few extra bags of feed if you can in case this comes to fruition. Better safe then sorry!
