Finally it is raining! Real, soil-drenching, life-giving, mosquito-breeding rain!
So happy! Apart from the mosquito part.
Did it have to start when I am out tipping up feeders and setting mouse traps?
I will be soaked!
Yea I got soaked then I soaked my couch lol

It was. The problem arose yesterday when I informed Rosie what I planned on calling them. She wants the darker one to be called Kit. I will get my way though and it will be called Kat. After all, if I had not assisted the hatch there would be no Kat. Plus, my birthday is Wednesday, she refers to these chicks as my birthday present. If that is so, I get to name them.
That’s very good! I didn’t want to have to be calling Kat, Kit or Kit, Kat. I was getting used to Kat being Kat, and Kit having the name KiT! Cool?
Krazy chickens!

Huh, heads sound better. I've always felt like EARs of corns is so weird. Is there any legitimacy to it? Is it because they look like ears on the stalk??

One terrible thing about Chinese is that you have to use a "classifier" for everything you mention, like "ear" is the classifier for "corn", but imagine all the stuff has a classifier and they are often different. Something like a bang of book, a stick of pencil, a load of TV... 🤣
And a head of scary corn! 4C758D09-520F-4EC3-932B-E00167888129.jpeg

Thunder here. We've been warned several times recently but I thought it would never happen...

Princess got frightened and hid in the coop, poor little cut throat Tina was mortified on the perch in the run so I put her on the perch inside the coop. I hope she's okay. I got drenched it's absolutely hissing down
Raining all day here. Flood watches are up.
