Yes she is she is dark in spirit she comes right up to me and looks me straight in the eye. Lately she has been challenging and fighting no blood with othersMalefacent, looks magnificent!![]()
Absolutely gorgeous chickens!Mugs Monday shots.
First 2 up are Karen and Lilly. There has been some comb and wattle development in the last week. Based on these changes I think both girls may lay now by mid-October. Lilly has shown the biggest change.

Angry fluff Chiquita. She is ready to lay her first egg since her break for motherhood. Her chosen nest, is currently occupied. She is not happy and has complained for a hour.

Wasabi, the guilty culprit and recipient of Chiquita's protesting. Frankly, she could care less.

Goose, sadly Goose will not sport any fancy hair-dos.

Goose and Hoppy. I think this picture shows how tiny they still are even at almost 8 weeks old. They are standing next to a milk crate.

Branch and 2 of his girls, he is also keeping a watchful eye on Goose and Hoppy.

Squirrel, on her way to lay her egg. She wants to kill me as I now have to climb up on top of the hay stack to gather hers and a few other girls eggs.

Finally Bunny, 4 days into trying to convince her she is NOT hatching again.....It is not going well. Why is it not going well? She has several co-conspirators contributing eggs to her that I have to painfully remove.

Good looking ladies! I love these three pictures.Monday mugs!
Annie, queen of the flock issuing orders:

Sweet Penny, such a gentle hen who really hopes to be a mama someday:

And Ruth, the most prolific layer in the flock. She is a very messy drinker and grooms away her beard because she doesn't like it wet. I still think she is beautiful with her lovely cape of orange and black feathers:

Bunny can you come sit and hatch my eggs cause I have a feeling mine wont be broody. (when they start laying and the roos grow up lol)Absolutely gorgeous chickens!
Bubba is a BCM, so in a few months you will have something like this strutting around yourself. Yes I say strutting, Bubba does not walk, he struts very proudly.
