I think I will risk this crumble as it's a free range soya free. I can always wet it down for my precious and throw as treats for cutthroat Tina
I feed coarse crumble, and in the mornings I feed it as a wet mash, I use hot water so that it’s warm. My kiddos go bonkers for it and actually wait for me to serve it up 😁

Heaven help me if I don’t have it ready for them!

I REALLY shouldn’t contribute to this particular conversation given that I’m over 100 pages behind and it’s probably pestered out by now but, pigs will eat anything and if you have a pig farm… just sayin’.

To roo, or not to roo? That is my question. It’s early evening and Jaffar is with his ladies. But I’m thinking that he still needs some medication to help with his gurgling. So inside with me, or outside with the hens? (I’m sure that I’m not as of much importance, but I have a more comfortable perch for him than the coop.)
I’m sure Dakota will be coming inside tonight. My few guests will be arriving soon (I mentioned dinner at 6:00)

Need pics of this fabulous meal you made 😊

Going down around the freezing point tonight, first time since Spring. Had to happen - it is Autumn after all…

So the barn is closed up, all north side windows closed (it’s a storm of wind!), windows in the hen house are closed, and I kept the ponies in tonight.

Just checked the barn cams and I see Mr Pompei is once again sleeping in his weird way, head hanging down, seriously how can he get a good sleep that way?!

Glad you are okay - nice to see you, you have been missed! Lot's of peoples chickens on this thread are mo;ting early this year, too!
Well, my girls are in that same club! We had a major heat wave one week followed by a winter-like storm the following week. There was seriously a 60° swing within a week or 10 days! I do think the stress from the heat may have pushed some of them into molt early.
