Apparently Hector only bathes when the ladies will serve as bath attendants...View attachment 3278749View attachment 3278751View attachment 3278752

Meanwhile Silver, Pear, and Thing stayed in the coop all day. All 3 are moulting, but none look stripped like poor Nellie. View attachment 3278754She's looking better, but still a mess of quills.

Kren is back and forth checking on everyoneView attachment 3278757

Whiskey lounging with most of the others...although, he appears to have been in an unfortunate location while the ladies were settling into roost last night...View attachment 3278759

The partners in crime also team up to defend a hen from another roosterView attachment 3278762But won't hesitate to take advantage if they get half an opportunity.
You have some of the loveliest Roos ever ❤️

Ok people I am off to do chores early, my back and hips are killing me from the bumpy lawn mower - going to make sure everyone is in bed and take something for my back.

I see Dorothy was able to get back in her nest box (amazing as she only has one primary feather on each wing hahaha), I can only count 12 which means Misty is still roosting in the shavings room…

Sears was a great place. I loved going to Sears for shopping, clothes, candy, and as I got older, tools and auto accessories!
Ahh, the good old days of Kmart and Sears. There used to be a Kmart where I live but as of most states, of course it's permanently closed. I can still remember what the store looked like on the inside. It got transformed into a U-Haul. There are 3 locations left: Westwood, New Jersey; Bridgehampton, New York and Miami Florida but who wants to travel to Florida after Ian is still here and possibly out of the state. We have a Sears in Camp Hill but it's mostly just electronics (mainly TVs) and furniture (mainly mattresses).
