I'll get one tomorrow. FYI: they don't last a whole winter, as they get pretty disgusting, so I end up making a couple new ones over the course of the season. However, just remove duct tape and the rest goes into the compost pile!

Is that Gus?

24 the first tame steer here… he was a very good boy, and loved his brushes. Yes, I was brushing out the beef cattle. No, they don’t “need” it. But boy, did they like it! I really enjoyed handling the cattle. Gus was a black Angus, 24 was pure Hereford, out of the bull before Gus, Big Boy. (Because yes, I also feel the need to namemmost of the animals here… it’s the Citiot in me I suppose!)

He knew better than intervene because the gals would have turned on him. It happened to me once. The lady I was dating and her teen daughter were arguing and I got pulled into and they both turned on me! I grabbed a sixer of beer and sat on the porch while they worked it out. I should have done that sooner

Yuuup! Seen that so many times. Although it’s always nice when someone decided to sacrifice themselves by providing a common enemy to unite the arguing pair.

Possibly, but I don't have a copy of it. I took up tap-dancing in my early 20s and I'm reasonably good at it but I started too late to be any good at the Irish dancing. I enjoyed it and would like to go back to it, but it may be physically impossible now.

It's getting colder now we have some frost about in the mornings. I'm happy I've got that old bottle to keep them warm

I hear ya! I did dance since a child, and really enjoyed it, then as an adult did Hip Hop ( I called it Hip Popping hahaha), modern (like ballet), tap and jazz. While I really enjoyed it my working out west put a stop to it, then with Covid everything stopped so no more dance for me.

Now my back is bothering me, I tried to do Belly dancing but the hip action aggravated my back and hip too much. Too many falls from crazy lunatic horses has taken its toll!

It was very hard to stand by and let it happen without sticking my nose in. Very hard.

Ya I was horrified but had to just let it be. I am not there all the time to over see them, and Bob is right they need to figure it out on their own.
