No the roof was rotten way worse than I thought. I had been keeping it dry inside with a tarp on top. This is what I found when I went to take it off today.

On top of that the birch tree is dying. I'm very lucky that the trunk did not break and go through the roof. So the roof came off today and the tree trunk came down.
Our Birch is going too. Fortunately the only things under it are grass and rocks

Oh! I meant great job taking care of it right away when you found out it was rotted. But I guess you didn’t find out until you started pulling it out. I guess I should just say you were lucky!

I was lucky, too, this weekend. I was in a bicycle accident and managed to only get a couple sore wrists, some sore intercostal (rib) muscles smd a sore, spongy knee. No bone breaks, no concussion and only minor soft tissue issues that I can tell.

You definitely had a busy weekend. Well done.

I have also been very busy this weekend. Well actually it started on Wednesday. We had ordered another 10 x 16 storage building that is basically going to be my husband’s man cave. The building was delivered Wednesday. I also had medical appointments that day and afterwards went by the store to buy the insulation for the walls. Thursday Bobby took off work. I still worked but took a long lunch. He had started insulating the walls. We went into town and bought the ceiling insulation, wall panels, pvc conduit for the electrical, and some other supplies. He insulated about a fourth of the walls. Friday we were both off work. I finished insulating almost all the walls (have to leave a few sections by the door until after they repair some door issues) and started the ceiling while he ran electrical from the main panel and installed the breaker box. Another trip to town for more supplies. And other various chores.

Saturday was the first day of hunting season. So hunted in the morning, then I finished insulating the ceiling while he did some other chores then we put up a few wall panels. Went and ate lunch, hunted again in the evening. Shot a spike so skinned and quartered that. Today we hunted again in the morning, then put up all but the three wall panels we have to leave off while they do the door and he finishes running electrical wiring. Back into town for a few more supplies we needed. Then we hooked up the mini-split AC/Heater.

I average 4000-5000 steps a day. Since Wednesday I have ranged between 9000-12,000. Plus all the physical labor. As my little sister once said when she was very young “my tired hurts”.

Tomorrow I have the day off again. Have to start processing the deer meat, and hopefully do some more winterizing of the coop. Also haven’t weighed and sorted eggs since Wednesday. At least I got to spend a few minutes with the girls today giving them a few pieces of pizza crust and stale bread heels.
Wow! You have outdone me for sure. :bow:bow:bow

Some ibuprofen, hopefully you took some. No use being in pain ❤️. Hard to sleep if you’re in pain, and one need sleep.

Sleep tax
Not sure what that is on Mr P’s head! But o am glad someone is sleeping!

Indigo, not so much. But she's laying the prettiest little eggs

White on the right is standard size from Nellie, I think. Indigo's is in the middle, Lark on the left, with Pippa and Maizie in front.

Back in the carton designed for large eggs. Maizie and Pippa are laying 2 distinct shades of green (one is very olive toned)....now if only I knew which was which....
