How long can chooks survive without feed? I haven’t seen my next door neighbor in two days, and his birds are all over his yard. I’m calling the sheriff this morning to have an investigation, and dropping off some feed for the birds there .
Has anyone else experienced this?

How long can chooks survive without feed? I haven’t seen my next door neighbor in two days, and his birds are all over his yard. I’m calling the sheriff this morning to have an investigation, and dropping off some feed for the birds there .
Has anyone else experienced this?

My neighbor will go away for the weekend (in nice weather, not winter). But she has a secure run, and leaves the pop door open, and has a large hanging feeder, and a 3 gallon waterer. Plus she puts spare waterers (standard 1 gal. bell) just in case. Never been a problem (but she lets me know she is going - she says 'don't worry about them', but I check daily just in case.) She doesn't have a huge flock like I do.
