Tell them you will require them to pay the total bill for a car rental, and if you ^have to take them to court* a good lawyer will also make them pay for pain, suffering, and aggrevation you have endured at their hands. You pay your bill in a timely fashion - they need to respond & repair in a timely fashion!

Do you happen to know a lawyer that would be willing to just give them a call?????

My young boy -one hatched by my co-broodies. I wasn't going to keep ANY new boys.....however, he is a good boy, is sweet, well built (I think he is stunningly handsome...but I'm a tad bit biased), calm, and *so far* good around the girls.❤️❤️❤️
Don’t worry. They pay for rental.

I did not get any pictures for Fluffy Butt Friday. It poured the rain all day. I did take these yesterday afternoon from my back door. They had no business looking like this. They did not need to leave their covered dry spots as they had fresh food and water. Every single one was soaked, even the mommas and they chicks were out happily drenched all day in the rain. I know it is caturday, but for this post I'm calling this Soggy Saturday.

For those of you who love wattles, they do pop when you take soggy pictures of chickens.

How long can chooks survive without feed? I haven’t seen my next door neighbor in two days, and his birds are all over his yard. I’m calling the sheriff this morning to have an investigation, and dropping off some feed for the birds there .
Has anyone else experienced this?
My chickens can go 4 days if the feeders and waterers are full. Are you saying they left them with no feed? That is inexcusable. You are sure there are no feeders about with feed in them?

Nope, save the tattoo for Betty!:lau

Well, maybe a flower or something on her leg just above her foot??
I could see something like this encircling her leg like an anklet:
Blossom Gazing Temporary Tattoo

Betty, though, needs a hard core tattoo on her wing/shoulder
Hmmmm...how about this one for Betty???
Definitely the flowers around able for Sydney. That's perfect.

I'll have Mrs BY Bob weigh in on Betty's. They are both real contenders. The knife to feather is pretty cool.

I’ve been getting help. Sheathing this isn’t a one woman job, at least for me at my age and fitness levels. I actually thought my helpers had packed it in for the year and started this on my own. I royally messed it up which is why it’s so patchy. I was hoping for sheathed by American Thanksgiving, but I have promised not to start the other side. We’ve also secured a woodstove to start with, so now it’s just pushing to get it watertight before the really nasty weather comes in. We have had two fairly nasty storms with up to 90kph winds and heavy rainfalls. There was even one night of the icky white stuff falling from the sky. View attachment 3319947
Not so helpful helpers… our only significantly venomous creatures and they are all through our piles. Have I mentioned how I’m working on my arachnophobia? I’ve also been filling the perimeter drain with gravel, one wheelbarrow full at a time down the road, and have been moving football sized rocks to create a temporary retaining wall for the drain rock. Apparently Black Widows like the rocks too. They are very pretty spiders though.

Chicken Tax:
Wonderful progress, not so nice helper. Your friend reminds me of a post I saw on a facebook friends page that had me laughing.
It said " Will argue, fight and ride 1000lb bucking horse and be thrown off and get back up cussing and hop on. See's a tiny spider and screams like a girl and hides."
I almost stole that one and shared it, that is my Rosie. She is afraid of nothing, except spiders. Blood curdling scream and she is climbing me going "kill it, kill it now!" I used to kill them for her, now I make her do it herself which results in her shaking in tears missing it with a fly swat as she tries to kill it with her eyes closed. It is payback, I despise snakes, she loves them and catches them and brings them too me asking if I want to pet it.
