The one thing I know about baby quail is that they are super fast. This will be fun to follow along to.

Quail are seriously tempting me.

[Grandma The Chicken]

No Grandma photo today but I did bring her inside. Right now it is 40 F and it is cloudy. I might go outside later but in my opinion, I like it when it's cloudy and cold. I hate cold weather but when it comes to dark clouds in the sky, you best believe I'm going to love it. Hot weather and cloudy skies? I mean, yes. I like hot and sunny weather but hot weather is more of my kind of style. I hate the wind. Sometimes it annoys me, other times, I like it when it is a nice breeze. This morning was 41 so the temperature has not changed. Now, there appears to be a little sun.

Foxy has becoming the sweetest chicken. She is even too sweet to my husband to handle because she would kick off other chickens who dare jump on his lap. This is crazy considering she is low on the pecking order (a junior).

About two weeks ago, she started doing this hugging thing. It looks awkward but she'd be standing and hugging him for a good 5 minutes every day. She is the most incredible chicken.

Not too much oatmeal scrabble some eggs and sardines in oil at least once a week. that's what I have done for Tina

She's on the trailer!

Only took less than 10 minutes and few persuasive wacks to stop jerking my sore arm and she got on!

Lulu marched on like a pro, then I read my text messages and they are telling me oh don't not come for a couple more hrs!!! WTH! That horse is not getting off this trailer till I get there! Shove her in a darn stall if you're not prepared! Jeez Louise we agreed 11am! Its now 11:38 it will be after 12 by the time and get there!

Really starting to frustrate me.
But Truly and Lulu are loaded.
Yay!! Huge relief!

Have you considered having someone house sit? Maybe a college student taking classes online?

The veterinarian said she normally doesn’t take chickens, but in Jaffar’s case she’s making an exception. I’m leaving now to take him in. (Bet she’s running a crash course of avian anatomy right now)
