18F here now. They've moved around - two on the warm pad, one partly on, and one is fine off it, thank you!

Can you put the shower curtain down lower, and move the furnace vent up high? That would really break the wind for the chicks, but give high ventilation, which is good?
I was thinking that's what I should do. I might do it on the north end of the coop too.

And take pictures of it to remind me next year what I did. :gig

Keep going safely
When I come home in the spring I am going through the US, I am so done with that HWY 17.

It’s a nightmare! Twisty windy, steep 7 and 8percent grades, no place to get off in an emergency.

Saw two very bad accidents one where a car tangled with a pickup, and another were a transport crashed into the rock face….

And still the truckers were right on my butt!

Better tomorrow, I get to the prairies, flat and wide open! Hope to make up lots of time!

Bet they dig under it in no time!!
My dog was already over there today. I couldn’t find her, but we keep the tile locator on her collar. My husband made it ring from his phone and we could hear that she was over there. Lol! They only put the fence on this side, so the dog can easily get around it.

And the troubke is, if they dig under it. If I were to open the gate and retrieve them, I’d be trespassing. It seemed OK to walk over there to retrieve a chicken when there wasn’t a fence.
