I was checking the weather but the squalls just move so fast and unpredictable! And most of the time I hadn't any cell signal and was relying on truckers giving info on the CB radio... away from the lakes now thankfully!

I am in Ignace, going to Kenora, I had a time change so gained an hour. Its 3:19Central Time

But 4:19 eastern time!

And just about bedtime for the kiddos!

I'm really pleased you have a CB . They don't use them here anymore and they were an absolute god send too us at one time. I'll check on you in the morning ,

If you are going to take extensor with your phone, turn it sideways, you'll get the full screen.

Do you not have icons on your Arlo when using the app? You may have to touch the screen to bring them up.

Figured it out. The earlier purchased camera's trials have expired, and those icons aren't there. The coop cam Pro 4 still has a trial active and the icons show up. I believe there IS a way to send videos or pictures to an SD card in the base station but it might be onerous and better to pay the $3 month or take screenshots.
Here's everybody tonight. Peanut went up first and went right to the warm pad. Farthest on the left. Then Butters moved in right away too (she's started up a bad molt, looks like). Nobody's in the nest box.

Ok. First I misunderstood your situation. She was in the coop. I thought she was outside the coop.

Should Aurora or Lilly force another hen to sleep outside the coop. I would go out, move the hen, Phyllis or Maleficent into the coop. Then i would gather up the offending hen, coming afterthem through the coop door. Reemerge on my coop, the coop door also opens. This then results in the bad hen sleeping as far from the coop door as possible the next night so the l this doesn't happen to them again.

Does that explain it better?

My point, if you want Peanut in a nest box for warmth, move her after dark. You don't have to accept where they wind up if it is not best for them.
Yes!

Roosting drama.
Bernie stood on the platform for a good 15 minutes being periodically told by Diana that she didn’t want to be forced away from the wall.
Then this.

Wow! Bernie is determined. But I love the swipe Diana gives her when she turns on the roost! There's some gumption too. ❤️

Yes. But if I put it on the wall it will warm only one chicken: Bernie.
The warmth only extends a foot - 18" max from the front surface of the heater (at least the one I got - maybe you have a stronger one?
I can't find a range on mine. But Bernie is not 18 inches wide. Some of the heat should reach your other lady. No one is getting any the way it is. Unless of course they shuffle down to be on front of it.

It's just a suggestion. I may be wrong to.
