Popcorn today, chomping corn and walnuts
View attachment 3330575

Peanut also gladly ate corn, I let her eat a lot, and she had a few walnut bits. Saw her on two separate times eat a few pellets too, plus she ate a few out of my hand, so I think she's getting at least some food into her. She really wants lots of water. Saw her poop a soft but not runny poop today. She's doing okay I believe.
Poor wee lady, I wonder if only domesticated birds do these horrible moults. I don’t see wild birds like this.

That photo needs a caption 😊

Something like “spiders, they taste good, what do you mean I can’t eat spiders?!”

FYI there are no spiders or bugs within 2’ of the floor on the barn! The chooks eat them like candy!
I've actually already done something like that. 4973AE3D-4F29-425A-8551-C88F949A5F08.jpeg

Bedtime drama from 3800km away. Being able to see them jousting on the cameras is hard on the nerves! Or as we Newfoundlanders say ‘O-me-nerds’

There were Curly, Mr P, Dorothy and Rose all up on the top of the nest box, Mr P kept pecking at Rose and Dorothy.

Dorothy jumped down then someone else jumped up, all the while I was worried that Curly would get knocked down. But she was tucked in by the wall thankfully.

They finally seemed to settle, then I was losing my signal so I stepped outside my well-site and the door went ‘click’! (Insert choise swear words here…). Not even in camp one day and I locked my self out like a rookie - darn chickens! Nothing to do but just watch the drama and it finally settled, so I put on my boots and went out to the main camp office for the master key 🤭

They finally settled with Curly by the wall, and Rose, Mr P and I think Dorothy.
Hard to tell on the black and white camera.

Hmm actual that looks like Sophia!

At any rate I worry about those silkies they get themselves into such predicaments!

And through it all Marty was safe and sound in her little cubbyhole 😊

No idea. Silkies are different. But Legbars have blue earlobes. That was the big debate - Legbar or Leghorn.
Sorry 🤭 bad Kelly I was being silly, yes I know how worried Bob was - and I can truly say I am eggstatic the 1) he finally has blue eggs, and 2) he doesn’t have to worry about having a heavy egg layer 🥰

Might get me one of those next year!
