Jaffar and Coco are inside tonight. Her molt isn’t fun, and Jaffar can’t sleep in my bed every night anyways. I love hearing them chat with each other.

The elusive, wild, North American version of the giant land chicken… clearly a juvenile… ooooh I wants to go snuggle him! I wonder if bison like butt scritches? I had a few albertan friend suggest I branch out into raising these guys…

Hey it’s Kris!

I’m still here, sort of… I’m having troubles keeping up over here, I’m sure I can do better as winter sets in, but have been a bit busy working on the housing here

Getting close to a roof! And the farm is having the road worked on and I was able to get a little help grading a bit from the guys with the big toys… now I want me a 5ton excavator… forget a tractor! I’ve been getting help with the sheathing from two local guys a decade or so younger than me, which has been HUGE.

And I once again lack any new chicken Tax pics… so here’s an early/mid summer one… she’s such a black beauty! She finally has a name as well Nix

First I am well aware we are blessed to live in a world where medicine is available readily. That being said, who-ever is responsible for the taste of Robitussin is a evil heartless human being. I have a cold, had it the past 3 days. During the day I may cough 3 or 4 times, as soon as it gets dark the cough is relentless. The only thing that works to stop the cough is Robitussin. I hate the stuff, have a hard time keeping it down and the taste lingers. It does not help that Rosie actually loves the taste of it, yes, she is broken. She gloats and calls me a big baby as I am choking it down.

Pan boil steam and if you have eucalyptus oil it will help you a lot.

When I was sick like that, I’d go to the spa and steam my sickness out. (Sadly other people might have caught it) oh well!
