Aurora’s neck and body looked a little to me like she is molting, I can’t remember, is she, or on the tail end of it?

Yes Aurora is mid molt. She is at least fully covered. She is super late this year.

Coco is happier outside in the yard now, but my room and hallway is covered with Barred Rock feathers.

When I let Butter and the rest out I came prepared. She was still on the roost and after everyone else exited I shut the door. I gave her breakfast in bed. She and only she had some uncooked dressing that I snuck out. I think my bribe worked because 2 hours later she gifted me with another monster egg, 2.7 oz this time. Mid molt and she has not stopped laying. I'm getting a huge egg from her every other day.

Just wanted to pop in and say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating today. I hope your dinners are all delicious. I am most thankful to have such a wonderful and varied friend group here, and would like to Thank everyone and say how grateful I am that chickens, of all creatures? Have led me to such a caring and supportive community of lovely folks. May you all and your family, furry, feathered and otherwise… all be blessed with good health and abundance.
