Well I broke the mount on mine yesterday, just adjusting the camera on the magnet. Huh! It wasn’t very cold at all but it is a thin piece. Darn it! Not a good design, the cameras have some weight. Super glue would not work on such a tiny piece and the weight involved. Well I’m wiser about it.

So I searched for your fix, @BY Bob thanks for posting it! I will try to copy this. I can drill….Looks like you took the bottom off, it’s on with tiny screws…

In this picture here, what are these flat round metal pieces with holes in it? Are they just some washers?

Yes, when that happens to us, my husband uses a tiger torch and blasts heat through a piece of metal ducting placed under the engine of the vehicle. It works pretty well. He also has had to remove the battery and warm it up inside.

Ridiculous cold weather tax:

I love the chicken yoga going on there - :)

I had a vision of the guys using a tiger torch on Ol Blue and catching him on fire :lau

It's going up to -7C tomorrow so I will just pop the hood and let the sun shine onto the battery and hope the dark cover absorbes some heat... otherwise yup it will be the tiger torch heating up the oil pan :fl

Maybe they should all have doors on them so each chicken can barricade themselves in.
Just kidding! I like your idea, but you know they have ways of messing with whatever we come up with!
Chicken panic rooms!
I was picturing opening and closing up all the doors in a wall of roosting nestboxes. It would be called the Advent Coop.

That sounds fun. Over the years I have spent a fair bit of time in Japan. It is a fascinating place.
I am sure you will have plenty of great food - but you gotta eat in the subway in Tokyo just once. It is quite an experience.
@GregnLety and try the odd to American snow cone/soda flavors....melon....oh, and the Japanese version of Jerky (squid)
