Dog Drama @ the Hollow Rd Coop

Just got home with the kids from tractor supply and was putting up the obligatory light up Christmas Rooster I HAD to buy (It was half off) in the front yard and around the corner comes two loose dogs.

One black GSD and one brindle Pitbull they raced passed us and headed straight back to the coop after one of my cats. They then see the chickens and charged the run wall but failed to get in however they continued to circle my coop. Barking like mad. My chickens made a beeline for the roosts inside the coop at first sight of the dogs. I shut their door and walked inside and yelled hey wanna go for a car ride? The dogs followed me into my garage.

This is where they are now with food and water … we are waiting for animal control to show up as I called them immediately after shutting the garage door to contain them. 🤦‍♀️
Glad no chickens were harmed. Are the cats ok?

Where I am is on the same parallel as the DMZ where I served in Korea. We had plenty of snow and cold there. Riding around in the back of a 5 ton pulling a 155mm howitzer was no fun.
I would have driven a bucket of golf balls into the DMZ mine fields, to hear the bang bang! 🏌️‍♂️

How wonderful! 5.5 years old. That's great! 🥰
Yes, I guess. It was far too short for a lovely lady (Partridge Rock) that taught me just how wonderful chickens could be (are).:hit

Hopefully, after all the stress Crop Girl caused me this summer, she will live long enough to 'pay me back' I told her she needs to live AT LEAST 2 more years - she owes me that!:lau (Like I have any say in the matter!)

B
ut, yes, she and her 'friend', plus my broody DC girls will (hopefully) live longer lives than sweet Rosie.

Omg, that's so scary 😨
They must have escaped or been abandoned

Good thinking, that could have been nasty
