I'm ok so far today, and have a dr appointment this afternoon. She sent everything off to the pathologist and get a full report today on the results. I'm not expecting to hear terrible news, but, until I get the results I have a nagging thought running through the back of my mind at all times. Yesterday was a bad day, worst so far pain wise. I ended up curled up in a ball in bed with ice to my stomach and a heating pad on my back all evening.
I’m sorry to hear how uncomfortable you’ve been. :hugs The architecture inside has been changed and newly tacked back together, plus they had to mess around just to clear where they wanted to operate. Everything in there got handled or pushed in some way and things don’t like that. It takes time for all your innards to get back to normal again.
I’m behind again, but have my fingers crossed that the report news is good. I understand the worry. We’re all here rooting for you! :hugs

I am going to have to pass on those leghorns. Even though they were posted in my local facebook group they are 3 hours away in Tennessee.
3 hours for 3 leghorns. Look at it like this…
It’s a total 6 hour drive, so blame 2 hours of driving on each bird (Share the blame)

I too am behind, what with work, flu, and today some strange gut virus. Now the network so slow…

Hope Rebecca is ok, hope Greg isn’t buried in snow, hope everyone’s chickies are ok, and hope Bob is good 🥰

I cannot physically do a 6 hour drive right now. The 15 minute drive to the dr yesterday was bad enough. I'm also supposed to not be out and about exposing myself to illness while I heal. I guess I will just have to wait until I find leghorn chicks at TSC or Rural king and raise them myself. That is not the end of the world. I love raising chicks.

Good grief chicken math at its best! But I like it!
No, chicken math at it's best would mean she would get at least 6 chickens, so only 1 hour of driving for each. Me thinks 3 leghorns and 3legbars. Nice even split! :lau

However, you could go with 4 leggies and 2 legbars. That way you will be sure to 'fill' Grandma's egg carton quickly, so she might be less likely to question how the egg carton never gets emptier....put one full dozen in at a time...just hide the others for a few days until you have enough for another carton full (and start saving those store bought cartons - NOW.) And, nice to have two blue egg layers...they won't each lay every day...and it IS a beautiful addition: rainbow eggs: Blue, white, light brown, dark brown, brown with speckles.
moral of this part: 1 is never enough! 3 is good, but 6 is better

Make mom do the drive - she is the one who suggested it!!! (And maybe, if she went on the weekend, could bring Rosie along as a navigator. It could be fun excursion for both!)

So sorry to hear about how tough the drive was. :hugs:hugs. It WILL get better, just not as soon as you would like :(
