That bump on Coco is distressing her and she scratched it last night. I am going to put some antibiotic ointment on it (after I get some) all I have is Vetericyn + spray.
right now, she just wants to snuggle up with me.
The bump looks to me like an infected peck or scratch, but I don’t know.
If it is infected or a cyst, a very warm (read: hot, but don't burn her) moist compress may help to draw out the cyst/infection. I'm not sure how she will like that, so it may be difficult....but it could also help if you are able to get her to allow it.

Wow - aside from being lovely....even in her golden years, Patsy was quite agile! :love Looks like she is playing the chicken equivalent of the 'limbo stick' while trying to get every morsel of meal worm!

Patsy was highly motivated by food. 😆

You may need to drain it. Perhaps it is an infected feather shaft. I think someone mentioned that possibility.

With Coco, it’s all about negotiation and compromise! :th

Doesn’t their pus go solid like with bumble foot?

Oh, looks like your Brahma girl is getting a lot of attention from the boys. Is she lower in the pecking order? I have to say, they are very pretty! ❤️❤️❤️ Much prettier than I thought dark Brahmas would be...I have light brahmas (and have always drooled over the buff colored ones...but they are much more expensive than the light!), and had never really considered the dark before.
The Brahmas are part of this year's pullets, so the cockerels are all trying to lure them into their personal harem. The girls are pretty laid back too, so haven't figured out how to say no other than screaming. The other boys are getting better at defending the girls, though. I'm hoping at least 1 goes broody and turns in "the Evil Ol' Bat" during that time. The boys will learn to respect the ladies then....I've also noticed the Brahmas aren't as agile/quick as most of the other ladies, putting them at a bit of a disadvantage re: the boys. They have figured out the "go up" to escape, so are making progress there. Currently wait and see game, but they're still developing.
