Like Thing?! They also have 5 toes, but are clean legged.... View attachment 3369732At least you know how to trim around the eyes.
Wow! That’s what Thing is!!!

Hmmmm might be a bit too much trouble for my mum… but she sure is adorable 🥰

Ok now just stop enticing me already 😆

Pre drill the holes where you wish to put the screw in, and put the screws in the ridge not the valley so you lessen the risk of water.

Lastly did you get the screws with the rubber washer on them? To make it more water resistant?

Yep metal roofing is expensive but it will last a good 30 or more years!
I did not know about putting the screws in the ridge not the valley. Makes good sense.

Hi! Have you been here before? Can't remember seeing your name :)

Welcome if not! We love seeing photos of chicks especially - so if you have any please feel free to post as many as you like! I also have Silkies - 4 of them.
Yes i just got on, and i have 3 silkies, 13 laying hens, 18 meat birds, and a chick that will be moving to the layers once she's big enough. Or he. I also have three turkeys, and i wrote a book on the female, Chip. It will be on amazon soon.

We put a steel roof on the house years ago - super slid for snow haha!

Of course the barn roof is steel been there for over 30 years and still looks great.

It's the best way to go for any roof I would say, sure it's initially expensive, but over time it saves money and maintenance.

I want to put it some over the Chicken Run, but will need to see if I can afford it. Might be cheaper to put that acrylic stuff for the run...

Congratulations!

We would love to see photos of your chickens ❤️
