No. The light spectrum the cameras emit doesn't light it up like daylight. It just provides enough light they can use, so Marty isn't throwing her self off into the pitch black abyss. She can see her landing.

That makes me feel marginally better - she still flies like crap though hahaha! Glad I have a nice 8 inch base of wood shavings for her to land on!

I think that's because you don't realize that chicken drama is entertaining ...only once the drama is over .
If you mean your chickens are plain, you're fishing for compliments! I was going to ask if it was Hades that has lemon ear lobes on one of your last rooster photo. He has a stunning face.

Here are the Math Majors carefully dividing an apple core. I think I managed to capture Eli’s gold flecks that go nicely with her green sheen.
They are very difficult to get good photos of these two. Mainly because they never stand still - they are always speeding around to avoid Bernie.

They are familiar with it and I don't think it bothers them. I don't know how bright it is on a scientific scale, but it's not as bright as moonlight I think. Remember they often tuck their head behind a wing too. I find at night the chickens notice if they aren't tucked in and are partially awake, as they are at times anyway. They may look at the camera. Once in a great while somebody decides to get up and change their spot in the coop.

They do give me lots of lap time. I might bring Dottie in the house this morning after breakfast. Just put my dogs up in the rooms and bring Dottie in for some tv time and laptop time lol.
