Third night on the same rafters inside the coop part of the Chicken Palace. Also they went straight there rather than spending 15 mins surveying options.
Hopefully they have settled on that being home for now.
Bernadette definitely considered trying to join them, or maybe she was thinking of going up there to throw them off their rafter, but she thought better of it in the end.
Or maybe she was just wondering why on earth they wouldn't want to roost with her! :)

I do hope your interruption having to rush to your mother's wasn't caused by anything serious.
Of all things she had cooked a large meal and insisted that we come over for dinner. She lives 90 miles (145 km) away. So the hours by car for dinner but we went.

Thanks for asking.
Did you know split peas can sprout
I did not.

Great work Bob! It's going to be an excellent roof.

I'm surprised the roofsheet maker doesn't also provide a ridge cap that matches the profile of the sheets.
They do. It's quite large and quite expensive. I've already spent a lot on this coop so I am going to improvise and save some dollars with the same final result. A dry coop.

I love black chickens.
They are very pretty.

How is the rain situation where you are? Saw on the news California is being hit hard with torrents of rain! Hope you home isn't too wet from the leak :(
Thanks for the concern, I went up on the roof, but it’s gonna take more than just a patch to repair the leak. There’s not much damage inside.

No, post, post, post, please!🙏🙏

I have absolutely no regrets about sharing!! 😂 😂I know that they will have so much more of your time and love than I could give them on an individual basis - and it is so wonderful to see them happy!:thumbsup
