Everyone please keep Dirt in your thoughts and prayers. Vet has been called and will be coming out soon. We are not at a emergency yet but getting close. Think he is in the process of a choke situation.
Sending good thoughts. He's such a beautiful stallion, I really really hope the vet can help him 🙏.

I was so obsessed with that picture, it's even on my account settings.

Aurora is very scientific-sounding here. I know she is a sleuth and is very impressive already but this blew me (and the Buckeyes) away. How does she know this? Did she attend a special chicken science university? So I did some research and though I didn’t find anything about a university I did find another practitioner, unnamed but pictured here in a training session. She is obviously a master practitioner. She has their total attention! They are eagerly awaiting her instructions, ready to jump on command. See the treats right there? Wow!

Oh no! Carrot chunks? Dry feed? poor fella. let him stand with his head hanging so that he doesn't breath in any saliva, twice I have dealt with this - once with a friends huge Percheron mare, frozen carrot - she finally was able to get it down. And then my neighbours elderly mare - again carrots. She was also able to finally get it down. But it freaked my neighbour out so much. I told her never to feed carrots or apples in chunks - always shred them.

Oh dear 🙁 Keep us updated.
