Yeah I’d still go with a dog type, so coyote. The long legs and neck are really evident. If you can place the camera more to the right so that the bush isn’t reflecting the light so much you’ll get a better image.

Yes. The camera placement is an issue. Most of my cameras are strictly for spying on the chickens or wildlife, but these two are actually for home security to alert me when someone is approaching the house. I used to have a system like a gas station that rang a bell when a car drove up but the mice ate the mechanism and they don’t make them like that any more (I don’t know what gas stations do now!).
So I need to position them to alert when a vehicle approaches. They aren’t quite right for that either!

Yeah. I am leaning that way. I am not a big fan.

Me neither, the calls give me the willies but also are really great to hear so I’m of two minds. They got our elderly cat who, finally but barely recovered from a wound, got out accidentally. Very sad. But I do respect them as a part of nature and am a fan of them as a top predator in rural, suburban and even urban areas.

Happy was not 100% thrilled with me giving her breakfast this morning. She finally settled down to eat but did not eat as much as she does for my brother. I spent a hour with her and put her up and left her alone until the vet left. After that I went back in and got her back out and she settled down to eat some of her pellets. The little demon bit me twice. Once on the ear and once on my knuckle. When she is mad she knows where the tender spots are. She drew blood on the knuckle. This is only the 2nd time since she has been home that she has ever bit hard enough to draw blood. I think now that Carla is back in class and she has some early morning ones this time around I am going to have to insist on feeding her breakfast a few times a week even if one or both are still here.

Here is all 8 of them. The 4 on the lap should be Foggy, Tina, Honey and Light. Inky does not like people. She always stays far from people since she was a baby.

Tina enjoys a nap, and is being a neck rest.

Dirt update.

Good news and bad news. The good news is he was not choking thank god. The bad news, he has pneumonia. I swear this horse was perfectly fine yesterday. Today he is coughing his head off, with just a slightly elevated temperature. A couple penicillin shots and I think it is maybe bute to keep his fever down and he will be fine. The vet went ahead and checked the other 2 boys, so far perfectly fine but will have to watch them as well now for signs of illness. I would love to know how the heck he got sick since he has not be around any other horses besides Russ and Louis since October.

I'm very happy to hear that he is going to be ok. Poor fellow.

Everyone please keep Dirt in your thoughts and prayers. Vet has been called and will be coming out soon. We are not at a emergency yet but getting close. Think he is in the process of a choke situation.
