How old is the cat? If she’s young she may be losing her baby’s teeth and her mouth is sore. Can you give her soft food for a few days? Or if you only have dry food you can use some warm water to make it softer like oatmeal.

She was born in August so she's definitely a youngster. Miss Z and the chickens are looking fabulous.

Happy Birthday to your dad , and I love Grandma's blue tongue - don't let the other chickens see that, they will want to start a new trend!

That definitely won't happen. Grandma deserves most of the human treats, just not too much. But of course, the others get something in return-- anything they like!

Snack bar today, a couple of fluffy butts. Peanut is in the back, second from left, she's fully feathered but the length is not complete. Her feathers have come in a dark maroon-ish brown, very lovely.

I've found so far with the cardboard sides that they peck at wet soft stuff mostly. When I've replaced it, the pecking stops. They will investigate white labels so I remove them.

They are beautiful hens! Peanut is looking wonderful.

We have more voles outside, but it is always mice that get into the house! I do see the little footprints in the snow in the run, so yes they're there. I wouldn't mind if it took care of some of those! It's really a gorgeous owl.

As I state this I do not plan on keeping any of Momma hens brood if they are pullets. That being said, I have discovered I have a pullet name that must be used. That future pullet must have attitude, in spades. Actually, it must be downright crazy at times.
This little one has the most non-existent comb. Surely Momma will give me 1 girl in this batch right?

Yes, I have a obsession with Tyler Perry's Madea franchise. Me and mom are having a Madea movie marathon going on right now as we speak.
