I love Madea!Mrs BY Bob is a huge Madea fan too. Surprisingly it has never come up as a chicken name.
Great idea - I will do that!I would still eat them if it were me (but it's just me though)
You can do an old fashioned float test. Get a big bows/basin full of water, put eggs in it. Float is not good. Sinking is good.
Edit: bows should be bowl
Good photo! She should be proud she is a Barred Rock! Some chooks are just too proud for their own good! View attachment 3375090
I would love to hear it!You just need a recording of a rooster crowing. I have one of Jabberwockey somewhere. I will post if I can find it and you can download and make it your ring tone.
Float test is not accurate and an old wives tell as long as the egg isnt discolored or smelly its good.Great idea - I will do that!
They’re fine, that was short.QUESTION
Well - the fridge door in my well-site here at work didn't close properly and the fridge became very warm inside, I have pitched the dairy items, but I am wondering about the eggs, I know people in many countries do not refrigerate eggs, but do you think mine are ok to put back into the fridge? I was going to boil them all up as hard boiled eggs but I don't want to eat so many eggs.
They were quite warm - what do you all think? I did throw them back in the fridge, but that fridge must have been opened from around 6am till 5pm.... darn cheap fridges! Now I know why many fridges have warning buzzers when the door is open too long! I will never whine about those buzzers again!
