I have called the hatchery here in Alberta and chatted with the lady, she is going to send me some info on her birds and others that she knows of. Hopefully I can get a few nice pullets to bring home

It's so sad I can't go for the wonderful opportunity I could have had. I would have loved more feathered beauties

They are fun and good company.

For me there are many variables with getting chicks: can I find what I want? will I not be able to get any because I have to jump into another project right away? I wouldn't leave my mum with babies that would be mean to my mum. Also will my broodies be broody and will they accept babies.... I am sure they will, and I am sure someone will be broody by then hahaha!
