I was probably sheltered from alot of the ugliness being a kid for sure. I do know that the farm my friends family ran did it differently as did those they associated with. I do however recall quite a few snotty folks at the shows though.

So, for pony Sunday… I still haven’t been able to upload my last video, I’ll give it one more shot after this post. This is from our walk to harvest Rosehips today. I am drying them into raisin like treats for the goats! The whole herd would like to have me reported for animal abuse, as today they got slightly rained upon on the way home! The horror!

Spoiler: Rose Hip Processing

The last photo is a plate almost dried and ready to bag up with the last two batches before them… yes, I have spent a lot of time out picking rose hips lately. I want to get as many dried for the goats as I can before they get too ripe on the bushes… I thought we were almost done for the season then I realized there are hundreds of bushes in a swampy area of a hayfield. Jackpot! oh and the Brazen little Rodent we have in the trailer will also eat them so I have to put them all in a closed upper cabinet overnight or my harvest goes missing.

Honestly I don’t know how she does it. That ceramic egg is not just tossed aside it has been moved two doors along. Can hens pick up eggs and carry them?

Mine have moved eggs from one box to another when broody, i know because i caught her halfway between them.
