Well heres how they got me and how I finally figured it out. I joined Southern Ohio BY Poultry FB group. I posted what I was searching for hoping to buy locally vs a big hatchery. Someone messaged me referring me to a homestead that had what I was looking for. I went to their FB page. It “checked out” pictures of beautiful birds, ducks, ect everything you would expect to see on a homesteading FB page. 400+ followers, 100’s of posts. I messaged them and they said they had pullets and they had shipping available. I asked about their NPIP status and a few other questions about their breeding practices and all were answered normally. I decided not drive with 2 small kids for 6 hrs and said ship them. Then paid via Venmo. Well the shipper contacted me asking for additional money which I refused to do and it was then I realized I had been had. I have a pending scam claim in with Venmo, I think will be successful. I messaged the leader of the FB group and found out they had already been booted for the group for scamming others. I reported their page to FB as a scam. Today I will see what other authorities I can notify and do so. The money I lost isn’t very much and I may still recover it from Venmo, but more importantly Ill do all I can to stop them for doing it to others.
Good for you! You did the exact proper thing. Well done, and yes I agree to stopping others from getting scammed. Well done!

Crazy weather Tuesday. Off and on rain, the sun did this too so I was lucky enough to see a rainbow. It was also very windy. Yesterday was off and on rain and snow and no sun at all. Mostly cloudy. Now today is supposed to be 72F.
I don't think these two are pleased about that.

There's 3 new girls in Red's flock. 2 RIR and a Barred Rock. Lety bought the girls for Cholo but Jr and the sub hens fought them off. Red and his gals gradually accepted them and they are roosting in Red's pen tonight.
Poor Cholo, never gets a break :(

Glad someone accepted the newbies! :)

We have a plan for integrating some young pullets given the aggressive nature of Jr and the lowest hen. I'll get some pics of the BO/Silky crosses and BR/Silky crosses. Gorda's baby is looking like a roo so fingers are crossed for the eggs in the incubator.

Someone should start an auto-sexing colour for Silkies so that we can tell pullets when born. Isn't Barring female auto-sexing? that is how they are telling my Bielefelder pullets from the roos, and Legbars, etc... ?

Likely the first time in a long time that he could see properly! When I get home I am going to see if I can find something to hold it up more permanently. Maybe something that will stick to the feathers better... Ideas anyone?
