Aurora has decided that she need not wait for me to give her corn.

🤔That makes me think of Phyllis 'breaking into' the Big Coop and helping herself to mealworms! You know, Aurora might want to rethink her opinion of Phyllis - they have a bit more in common than Aurora wants to admit!:gig:gig:gig

You got dumped on! Is it normal or unusual for you in March?
Yes, the last big snow was February 2018 .

We had warnings of snow in December, we thought a white Christmas then every couple of weeks since we received more warnings. After 3 months I decided to put the snow shovel away and now here it is in all its glory 😀

Oh My Goodness - how ridiculous - it's supposed to be Spring soon! Is it normal to get snow for the UK this late in the season?

Awww poor Moggy - he is a spotty cat now, the rare white spotted moggy cat :)

Wow! just wow! You be very careful of ice, you're not used to this snow and ice I am betting - you be very careful, and don't shovel any of it - let someone else do that - or let it melt. OK stay warm also 💕 💕 :hugs
I have to force my way out later with corn mealy worms and a hot water bottle. I want them to feel as contented as possible.

I'll have to wait as I'm in really bad pain so I'll have to make it one trip

Because you put the snow shovel away.

"I packed up the winter clothes and got out the summer"

"I put the snow blower back in the corner of the garage and got out the BBQ grill"

"we came up here on spring/summer/fall trip. Why is it snowing?"

That's how we get the mid-may, June, or August snowstorms. Just to mess with people.

Yes indeed. I am deeply superstitious when it comes to the snow shovel. It has pride of place by the garage door until August. And then it is hardly worth putting away in case it snows in October.

I posted it on another thread, and someone said it is her second eyelid, but then why would it be so large, when everyone else's is smaller? I don't think that it is discharge, but it's weird. If my girls lay in their old nest instead of their new one I made, should I fill in their old nest with dirt or hay?
What I see, different from the other's eye picture, is what I would call the nictitating membrane. It's a grey white semi-clear thin membrane. Yes, it's an inner eyelid that comes across instead of down when they blink. It's present in cats too. Some cats I know just have a "lazy" membrane, it's just the way she was built, so if here she has always been this way I wouldn't be concerned. If her eye really has a discharge or bubbles in it then it's cause for concern.
I'm so far behind here's a broccoli-fest pic for likely SHRA

I wasn't too sure about GtC's hen with her eye, I agree it likely isn't anything to worry about.

My kiddos wont eat broccoli - chopped, cooked - whatever they will not eat it!

Mine eat broccoli, too, as long as it is chopped up....don't tell me those two have been converted by Bernie!!!!😮
Not sure what it is they don't like about it - they eat cabbage, and cauliflower, carrots... but also they are not fussy about apples - and I know others give their hens apples - mine won't look at it! I have yet to try corn on the cob - will try it this summer.

They love wheat straw bales, they tore one apart that I had here, such fun they had haha!
