Mine do when it's cold outside. I think they hold them against their bodies to warm them up.

My Brahma once hurt her foot though and she held up her foot at that time. She is not the most coordinated and I think she hurt it jumping off the roost. I have a nice soft hay bale for her to jump onto now.

At the time, I didn't know about giving aspirin and just soaked her legs in Epsom salts. It eventually got better. I still lift Isabella off the roost if I get out there before the sun is up (not possible during summer in the Land of the Midnight 🌞).
She has been outside here with me for the past couple hours digging in the dirt, so it can’t be that sore.

Everyone is enjoying the nice weather here, even I fell asleep in the sun, woke and had to count everyone 😊

Still haven’t cleaned stalls…. Guess I should get cracking on that…in a bit…

Wonder if you can contact a local Zoo to see if they can recommend an avian vet?
Nice thought. Unfortunately the nearest zoo is in a different state.
Well technically there are zoos near me but they are all farm petting zoo kinds of things - baby goats and bunnies.

Beakbook…
Blanche!!!

I turn my back for one minute and Blanche is logging into beakbook!!!

She was having issues with the mouse…

🎶 I don’t like spiders and snakes, and that ain’t what it takes to love me!
