Feeling a little better. There was a upside to Rosie having different dr appointments with all her illnesses. It led to antibiotics being switched over and I saved the remaining ones. It is a good thing, I have been taking them. This is a sinus infection, and a bad one. I do not have a dr appointment myself until tomorrow morning. If I had had to wait until then without anything I would probably still feel like death warmed over. Really the only thing bothering me now besides my ears hurting is that they are also draining. And ITCHING, the itching is driving me nuts.
Oh dear - that’s just the pits, being sick really sucks 🥺

Ok well glad you have a dr appt and glad you feel a bit better.

I cannot wait to see the little wee miss marties.
Ya me too! And I wonder what colour eggs any pullets willl lay?

Silkies are pink peach in colour, Sophia is dark brown with mottling, blanches egg is khaki olive in colour.

I think polish lay white eggs

Anyone have any idea on egg colour from pullets born of this mix??

Well, you could offer to let her name every single one. And if she gives them horrible names call them something different when she is not around.
Oh she is not into that, she calls the cat “here puss” or “the Brandon cat”…. Half the time she can’t get my name correct! Not too bad as the family is mostly girls, but when she calls me Robby…..

:th

Nope, I am afraid the thing motivating mum to do my chores is my paying her! And I am good with that! She does a good job and the chooks like her - but of course she is the treat lady!!!

Pokes both of my cochin girls, they are plotting something. For over a week now, they have not ate a single egg. They have had plenty of chances, I have not been able to be out there several times to grab the eggs as soon as they are laid. Trust me I am not complaining, but I have to wonder, are they thinking of going broody. One of the girls is spending more and more time in the box she likes to lay in even after the egg is laid. I could be tempted to test them out if they do go broody and give them a few eggs. I wonder if the desire to hatch chicks would override the desire to eat the eggs. It really sucks that they are egg eaters because they are so big and fluffy and really I could stuff a dozen or more under each of them easily.

Wow no snow looks awesome there ❤️ Everyone is busy doing chickie things 😊
Snow arrived overnight. Horus went after Cheetah as I was entering the coop so when I was done with feed and water, I packed Horus up to the other side of the garage. Let him have a cold walk back to the coop. If it cools his jets a bit, the other hormonal idiots will get similar if opportunities arise.

On my weekly schedule, tuesdays are “two for Tuesdays” what does that mean that I post?
