(chickens aren't stupid! - well sometimes they do stupid things, but then we all do. They can be pretty smart/crafty when they want to be! Look how @BY Bob 's tribe has organized themselves into pairs to do 'deck duty' so they all get more treats!!!! Need I say more?

Thats always a possibility and the ER and drs brought up cancer but my blood work was fine.

She also wishes it to be known that Branch is HER rooster. The two of them were inseparable yesterday. He showed her every nest spot and this morning she chose the nest in the coop that he kept taking her to yesterday. She also allowed him to breed her. Bubba tried yesterday evening around roosting time and instead of submitting she turned and attacked him then ran to have Branch escort her to the roost in the coop. I cannot tell you how happy this makes me and hope it continues. Branch has so few hens who actually like him. The Cochin girls love him, but they are just to big for him. He was successful yesterday with Perdita.
