Roosting at the Chicken Palace is a mystery to me.
The last couple of nights Babs has roosted in Bernie’s spot with Eli by her side.
Bernie has roosted across the way on a different roost.
When Eli is egg bound the Math Majors don’t go up to the rafters - I think Eli can’t make it because of the stuck egg pressing on the nerves of her legs.
But I don’t think this is why they didn’t fly up the last two nights.
I also don’t know why Bernie hasn’t
Tried to defend her spot. She just moved out and enjoys her own roost.
They don’t seem upset by the new setup- actually very little squabbling about it.

Yes that is interesting - wonder if she has just become used to being on her own and enjoys her own space...

You know that Palace is waaaaay too big for just 3 kiddos, when are you going to get those chicks you were talking about
💕💕💕

My horse veterinarian is on her way to see Jaffar, at my request. She doesn’t know chickens, but horses she knows. She feels sorry for me I guess. But I ordered delivery Panda Express for us all
However she feels, I am sure she will take good care of Jaffar and give good advice. Can you get low dose aspirin? I got the chewable type so I can cut them in half, the enteric coated ones you can't cut in half (at least not easily).

At least he’s eating and drinking
Yes vitally important. Rest, fluids, calories.

OK I am heading to slumberland to try for a few winks, I am sore from throwing hay and stacking today - I am out of shape for sure. I just took a couple tramacet and they make me terribly nauseated but they help with my leg spasms and achy back. I need to sneak out of the barn so the horses don't see me hahahah - not possible...

Mission Impossible tax
