Oh that little black one, my heart is melting. It reminds me so much of Poppy. She was the tiniest one in her clutch. Does it have a little bump on the top of its head like the big blue one? That blue one has a vaulted skull and will have a fuller looking topknot.

Is that an issue with them ??

Not really, it can make them a little more susceptible to head injuries. A lot of silkies have vaulted skulls and I think polish do as well.

My kiddos are roosting in a split group, Penelope and Blanche off by themselves, and the rest at the other end!

Marty is in the ground nestbox, I have no idea where Fluffy is, and I am sure Misty is up on her door.

I think I will head out at 7:30 when Death in Paradise is over…

she is the tiniest in the clutch and Ive been keeping a close eye on her cause shes so small. She has a little bump for a skull. Not as big as that grey one. Its head has a big round poof

This is what Jaffar looks like after I cleaned him up. Poor little guy is hurting so bad. But even in his pain, he still covered me with his wing. He’s such a good rooster. Cocorico!!!View attachment 3443748

Poor guy! Definitely some TLC for several days. He's just plum tuckered out.
