In theory they tell a hen that this is a safe place to lay an egg because look someone else already has an egg here.
Also, people say that if you have an egg eating ehen and you quickly replace all real eggs with ceramic eggs it will teach them not to eat their eggs because instead of getting yummy egg when they peck at it they just get a headache.
I have no idea if it works.
I use them to teach the girls where the nest box is. I am not sure if it works as they seem to be able to tell that it isn’t a real egg. They do use the nest box though!

It worked for me. I had an egg eater and ceramic eggs put a stop to it.

That’s perfect ! Keep it there and you will be fine.

I too am sick of lifting heavy bags of feed and bales of hay and shavings. But then I remind myself that for my age I am a sexy hottie hahaha!
( as I am sitting here with my back in screaming agony, my legs crawling with neuropathy, and my RLS making my legs spasm excruciatingly).

Gosh I hope you are better soon.

Not sure if Brahma can fly up high or not… ?

I have one Brahma and as an adult, she is not a good flier. When she was little, she could fly a bit, but I don't think it was ever her strong suit.

One thing that is very striking with my current Princesses is how different they are from Maggie regarding the sun.
Today was a lovely sunny day and I sat in the chicken field and nodded off.
When Maggie was alive she would have been sprawled out in the sun next to me. I woke up and there were no chickens. Of course I was in a panic - but they were all napping in deep shade. Strange.

I am in Ohio, they shipped me chicks, I chose a mystery box of ten, they sent me 13. All made it, all were perfectly healthy beautiful birds. I am quite happy with my little flock.

That’s so cool! They are a California company, as you know. If I use them, I will drive to get the chicks.

I’m fragile too obviously. BP is 183 over 102 but I haven’t taken the meds yet.
I’m thinking about calling the hospital

Alex, that is very high. Did you seek medical care?

And please don’t be offended, but would you consider eating less steak?

Two eggs today we’re covered in egg. I don’t know if somebody laid a soft egg or thin shelled egg, or somebody just broke an egg.

The product on the right is what I used when Mozzarella's foot was hurting.
But chicken medication and treatments are so expensive. Look at the product on the left... Does anyone use the Healthy Hen products? I'm pretty sure no one uses an egg cleanser.
