Please do. I’m sure it’s adorable.Hilarious!!! I have found two of mine, who are all standard sized, in the same as box before. I don’t understand why they do that. I’ll have to get a video next time.
Are you near Mill Valley? https://www.millvalleychickens.com/I don’t know. We keep having crazy weather here that’s putting a wrench in the breeders plans. I also learned that it is a Bella Leghorns, or not sexed until they’re older. I want chicks I can raise from little babies. There’s another place called Alchemist, but it’s a few hours away, I think.
Bridge?Look who is in the nest box!We still have ‘t changed put these too-small boxes after all these years.

Actually I think you may be right - Eli got overheated today and had to dunk her head in the bowl of wild water to cool down. They are also DARK hens. Absorb the sun more readily and heat up more quickly!
I think that is normal.Bridge?
Yes it looks small but comfy. What about height? I've noticed something. Each time I happen to catch the hens here laying when I open the back, when the moment comes to push it out they stand penguin-like. It's tall enough in there (plus some) for them to do that. Popcorn did it today. First they are sitting, nesting, throwing bits on their backs, gathering bedding, and clucking away, or silent, still, and intense-looking. But when Popcorn was actually laying she stood up, then got in a penguin pose. She even walked forward a couple steps, twice. Then the egg came out. She resumed her normal standing stance, turned and left (probably because I was there). Is this normal, or is this a bad sign?
@RoyalChick DO NOT I repeat do not let Eli and Babs see this

Wow that is just too funny! Do they do this often?
I am absolutely confident that at least Eli will get to the roof of the Chicken Palace. She often eyes it up when she is out and about, but then gets distracted by something to dig up.
That is a wonderful picture - and of course your subject is gorgeous which helps!
My mistake. I got this at TSC, and my TSC also Carrie's that product. This is what I'm using on BBQ.The product on the right is what I used when Mozzarella's foot was hurting.
But chicken medication and treatments are so expensive. Look at the product on the left... Does anyone use the Healthy Hen products? I'm pretty sure no one uses an egg cleanser.
