Update: The Dr did a quick check and our hen is stable. She texted and let us know she's stable and asked about the splint. I replied that although we didn't feel a fracture her leg is dangling freely at the knee so we suspect ligament damage. Hopefully she gets a good look in the morning and comes back with good news.

These doctors are great. If there's something that can be done they will do it. I am sure she is well cared for tonight. We've boarded our animals there before.Oh dearI hope she is ok, hope they have some food and water for her

She's never been without her rooster. They hatched together. I don't like boarding animals but this clinic is full of wonderful people. Dr Zoe knows all our dogs by name and has cared for several of our hens.
