Thanks 😊

How is Wendy today 🥺
Thanks for asking.

She is not good. Same as yesterday. Lethargic, only drink water sometimes, all liquidy poop. She occasionally ate some grass. She took a tiny bit of egg from me. She did not want to take a bath at all. I have decided to give her a course of antibiotics (Amox) starting tomorrow. I have suspected for a while that she is laying internally.

I'm so sorry to hear she is not improving. :hugs

Case in point. Little Dakota refuses to go to the coop tonight. She followed me up the walk, up the porch, to the door and wouldn’t let me open it until I picked her up. I’m now inside with her. I would prefer Jaffar, he has much better taste in movies to watch than Dakota does. (She wants “Killer Klowns from outer space “) what ever that is! :barnie

Will be looking into the use of hormone therapy?

Hmmmm so I have Marty sitting on two eggs tonight, and Fluffy also sitting on two eggs. I am sure they will come bolting out the door when I open it tomorrow morning though.

I also gave Misty an egg in her nest box (actually it’s her egg 😊). If she went broody it would solve a huge problem of numbers as I am sure she could handle up to 10 chicks she has a lots of fluff!

I have Dakota sitting on my chest, watching satellite television.

Once again I've missed way too many pages. I can't thank @Ponypoor enough for that synopsis. It's awesome!

Have a question for you folks. Our rather eccentric (to be charitable) neighbor has 11 cats. He leaves a window (and often his door) open year round for them and complains about his electric bill. (Insert eye roll) My question is...should I actually worry about domestic, but half wild, cats as predators? I'm pretty sure that Manny is bigger than any of them. We are starting to get a bit of a mouse problem and so I really wouldn't mind them hanging around and cutting down on the rodents. Our run isn't predator proof, but the coop is. We lock them in at night.

Here's Manny behind bars...

And snack time of fried Okra. Only Sheba refused to take one from my hand.
