That said, both of these chicks are adorable - what breed are they? (this one looks slightly more feathered out....)

AND: how in the heck do you get them to stand so still and so poised? A full 85% of my pictures are blurry - and that is even when I have corralled them for/with treats!!!!

I just do. Abeille was SOOO hard I had to try at least 5 times before I got that pic. Apollo wasn't that hard because he is very good at posing for the camera. Abeille-not so much.

Hmmm, what @BY Bob has said about tending to 'pack/flock' with their own kind must really be true!! White chickens/white horse.....dark chickens, dark horse!

Everyone but Betty. Glynda has her running in fear today. Phyllis better watch out. She is next in line. I feel like Glynda is going to move up the order the hard way.

The light colored chickens with the light colored horse and the dark ones with the dark horse. Birds of a feather seems to extend beyond feathers.

Just an FYI: I did wash the mirrors after being scolded by one of my hens. While they are still cleaner than in this photo, they no longer look 'clean' That's what I get for washing them - the bottom one gets filthy right away from them scratching and throwing dirt and bedding at it, the top one because they actually hop up there to check it/them out...then end up getting poo and what not on it! I just can't win with them!
