It was an amazing day here today (yesterday??), warm sunny no wind hardly, I put up the chicken temporary fencing and turned them loose! They had a blast digging and scratching in the puddles, and chasing the Robins away.

It was so annoying not being able to get and post photos with the slow internet here, but guess being Sunday everyone was home using the bandwidth, today most everyone will be back to work so I can do my chicken photo thing

So yesterdays treats started with a tin of sardines. Niece took pics

Pippa and Nellie...who's faster?

Cuckoo and Nellie

Twirp, Cuckoo, and Nellie

Everyone got a taste.

Later we went back out. This time I armed her with bananas.

Silver, not taking from the fingers....yet

Twirp decided finger fed bananas are great

So did Whiskey (@RoyalChick he never clipped her manicure. Roosters can be such sweethearts)

Belladonna (the boys have been incessant with her) loves bananas too.

Silver did take from the fingers, cautiously.

Maizie loves them too, but according to Niece, wasn't discriminating on fingers.

Checking to see if I had any too.

The boys getting some too while standing watch and/or tidbitting the girls over their pieces (good boys Horus and Hector on the tidbitting, Whiskey ate all of his, Kren did some of both)

Day ended with some sitting in the sunshine sunning my toes

Storm came to visit (and push Kren around)

Nellie came to visit with me

Kren put in an appearance

Cheetah tidbitted around my feet

Temps hit mid 60s (first time this year) wind was blowing hard, but the SUN! Kids enjoyed the scavenger hunt (teen/just beyond teen stomach) of Gatorade, microwave popcorn, gum, jerky, trail mix, etc snack/lunch packets hidden around. However, I think the best moment was this

Does anyone know if they rent goats for hire? I don’t need them permanently. Just for the spring season!

Haha, when my Agriculture teacher retires this there, that is exactly the business she is going to start. Sadly just around where I am though.

I will have to put an apron on a couple of my silkies (Curly and Marty), Mr P is really a bit too big to be crawling up on them.

Have you thought of using one on Belladonna??

I love that apron @lightm has with one of her hens ( was wondering where she got it!).
