Is Maizie lower on teh 'totem pole'?

I find mine that are tend to 'bite/peck' harder. Like they need to do it hard and fast to get anything. With multiple attempts at hand feeding - especially if you can get them away from the pack, I have found mine get less 'aggressive' with the fingers/hand.

EDIT to clarify: Very bottom ones tend to be hesitant, like yours, lower middle tend to 'bite/peck' hard.

She is. She's one of last year's babies, but one of the more assertive in that group.

I’m still somewhat involved with this lady. She’s a neighbor friend and I’d hate to see her get taken $$$ . I just cannot do that job. My health is more important to me.
You're not getting any arguments from any of us!

You did the correct course of action.

** Well no egg, just Dorothy whining because Blanche kicked her out of the nest box ! I pointed out that there are 4 other nest boxes unoccupied....

make the saddle part as usual, including the 'sleeve' for the elastic, but replace elastic with stitched bias tape OR a stitched 'tube' of fabric, and put a couple of snaps on it for adjustment. If you make the 'sleeve' wide enough on the saddle, might be able to get snaps to fall into sleeve area when centered.

????????????????????????????????
Good thought, or crochet cotton ties with the "knot" getting tucked into the tube. Need to hit the fabric store as I don't have any canvas at the moment either.
